My wife and I decided to sell our home last May and move to Florida. Simple task you would think. We built this home seventeen years ago and lived there ever since. We love it. We filled it with all the extras. Granite, hardwood, top end appliances, wine cellar; it was all there ready to sell. We commissioned Christine as our realtor and we came up with a price.
Immediately Christine suggested how the house should be staged for showing. She covered every room making suggestion to remove clutter and create that more open feel for which the house was originally designed. Her knowledge was remarkable. The finished product was perfect.
Every showing was on time with Christine arriving a good hour before the client in order to add her personal touch. Sometimes it was flowers other times it was as simple as placing a pot on the stove and boiling cinnamon in water for ten minutes, you would swear someone just bake a fresh apple pie.
In time we received the offer we were expecting but the new owners wanted to buy the contents of the house also. Christine thought it best to separate the two. To me this was remarkable, she truly had our best interests in mind and not her own. What a unique concept, true loyalty to the seller. With the contents adding a very sizable amount to her commission had they been combined, she rejected our suggestion. Christine felt that deals like that could make the buyer walk away on the smallest of disagreements. She insisted we keep them separate. She instead helped itemize and price everything, dedicating her time and effort for our peace of mind. Closing was a breeze.
